We are a Chartered Building Company. Our Director, Robin Sporn and the Company as a whole are members of the Chartered Institute of Building, the worlds largest and most prestigious professional body in construction, operating under a Royal Charter since 1834. We believe that clients should be informed, and kept informed, not just of progress, but of potential cost implications that any variation to the original design may incur.
Our Master Craftsmen, employed directly within our Company, are highly experienced with a firm grasp on traditional practices that have, for others in our industry, long since been forgotten. We invest heavily in our workforce - they are Sporn Construction - and to that end we encourage constant professional development to ensure they are proficient and knowledgeable on modern techniques.
From extensive structural changes, both internally and externally, multi storey basements, and glass architecture, to highly complex temporary works, designed to ensure the stability of the structure during construction. Restrictive sites often encountered in urban areas compound the engineering challenges, and require a creative approach to solutions, of which we have decades of experience.
Recognition of the quality of workmanship and professionalism throughout the company has resulted in many prestigious awards, the pinnacle to date being the award of the UK National title of "Master Builder of the Year 2015" at the Federation of Master Builder Awards. A very much coveted title throughout the construction industry.
I worked with Sporn Construction on the refurbishment of a listed building. From the very 1st meeting with Sporn I knew the project was in safe hands. The site foreman was very good at identifying and addressing potential problems before they arose as well as ensuring suitable sub-contractors were used on the project.
