Kitchens work hard. They are places where cooking meets sociability and space can be tight. Johnny's design philosophy is based on forty years balancing practical demands and aesthetic choices, bringing architecture, ergonomics and happy home life together. We start by finding the room's sweet spot and placing dedicated work surfaces within it.
No two homes are laid out identically so each project is a one-off. We employ only trained designers and architects who begin every assignment with a fresh eye. There may be a small fee for this first visit, depending on how close your house is to one of our studios. It will be refunded if you go ahead with a design proposal.
We are a small versatile operation dedicated to producing original, high performance kitchen environments. We encompass artisans of all types: furniture makers; metalsmiths working in stainless steel, wrought iron and aluminium; ceramic tile makers; concrete specialists; artists in paint and pattern; lighting designers and fabricators.
In a hardworking house all rooms must perform to demand. With good design needed in every room, our expertise extends beyond the kitchen. Our team works to transform spatial layouts, eliminate unnecessary corridors, manage micro-spaces, create garden living areas and inventive structures. This timber-built garden pavilion housing a pool and recreational kitchen connects seamlessly with the outdoors.
