Welcome to Concept Garden Design, the garden design company run by the popular garden historian and horticultural speaker Janette Merilion. Concept Garden Design shows how your garden can become one of the most precious parts of your home. It can certainly be the most beautiful but, it can also offer a personal space in which to relax, play, dine or entertain.
You can never underestimate the value of a garden, as it is really an extension of your home, revealing as much about you as the building itself. A survey carried out by one of Britain's top estate agents found that properties with beautiful gardens not only sold more quickly but also increased in value by as much as 25%.

Has your garden got the wow factor or is it overgrown, looking tired and giving you nightmares? Help is at hand - our designer will visit your garden at a time to suit you to give you the opportunity to ask all of those gardening questions, gain practical advice and optimise the potential in your garden.
Whether you are longing for a complete transformation or needing some help with a trouble spot, Concept Garden Design offers a comprehensive and flexible service providing expert advice and creative ideas. Home owners who want to redesign their gardens can save time and money by calling in a garden designer, who will plan the space according to your requirements and the limitations of the site.
Everything usually starts with a chat on the phone followed by a meeting (for which there is usually no charge). At this initial meeting we provide prospective clients with an overview of our services and the opportunity to view our extensive portfolio of completed designs. We visit you, have a look at your existing garden and assess your requirements and advise on the best way forward.
A design brief takes the form of a short questionnaire which enables us to assess your requirements for your future paradise. We take into account such things as who uses the garden, when you use the garden, how you use the garden, e.g. We will also discuss the style of garden that you prefer, such as wildlife friendly, formal, cottage garden, contemporary or low maintenance.
