Our team led the development of a permanent home for The Story Museum in Oxford, transforming a collection of disjointed buildings into an unusual museum, full of character and whimsy.
St Catherine's College is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. Within the setting of Arne Jacobsen's original College buildings, Purcell was appointed to extend upon Stephen Hodder's previous accommodation pavilions. Purcell were appointed Architects and Lead Design Consultants for the major renovation and refurbishment of the internationally-renowned luxury hotel, Mandarin Oriental at Hyde Park, London.
Transforming a redundant thatched barn into a new visitor centre with an interpretation area, shop and a cafe. The project enhances the visitor experience at Christ Church and enables the Chapter House, currently used as a tourist shop, to be restored.

A year after our competition winning success, this exciting collaboration with Jamie Fobert Architects has reached its first key milestone as full planning and listed building consent has been secured to improve Ewan Christian's Grade I listed C19th-century gallery. An award winning new archive and local studies centre for Cornwall within the derelict Redruth Brewery, forming a part of the regeneration of the town.
A multi award-winning aviation museum located on the historically significant Filton Airfield. The conversion of a Grade II listed Hangar into a museum houses the Bristol Aero Collection of 8000 artefacts and Bristol-built aircraft including one of the remaining Concordes. Regeneration of one of the most important early 19th century cemeteries in Britain.
