Griffin Electrical Contractors was launched by myself in 1984 after having completed a 5 year apprenticeship with Crown House Engineering Ltd, and achieved a full membership with the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) in 1986 and continue to proudly maintain that membership today.
I was impressed with the detailed quotation John provided which included any additional costs that may be incurred. After the rewiring my house was thoroughly cleaned. I am delighted with the installation and with the manner in which the work was carried out. Thanks once again for all the work, we really do appreciate how difficult this job was and are extremely pleased with the end result.

We had John carry out an extensive rewire on our restaurant. It’s an old building and most of the wiring was unsafe. John worked 7days straight and refitted the whole restaurant with new wiring, fuse boxes,… ample plugs in the customer areas and an amazing new lighting system that makes the restaurant shine so bright. All of customers returning after lockdown have said how bright and different the restaurant looks. John also carried an extensive PAT Test and a full NRIEC safety certificate on the building. I can’t recommend John highly enough, hard working, honest and competitively

I just wish that John was based in my area!
As John and his apprentice, Rhys, happened to be doing a contracted job in Blandford Forum we were able to use his services to upgrade the smoke detection equipment in our house. John was able to confirm which type of bases were required, source them quickly, and then fit them at a very reasonable price. The work was done quickly and efficiently with no mess or disturbance and it was a real pleasure to have the two of them in the house during the work.

Last week John and his expert assistant Rhys in 4 days removed our old night storage heaters and replaced them with new Quantum heaters, with all the rewiring entailed, with commendable efficiency and with the minimum inconvenience to ourselves. John came on an emergency call out for us To solve our commercial kitchen electrics mystery. It was more than a days work. John is a busy man but arranged someone else to come out and complete the job for us. This resulted in the electrics being sorted and no downtime for our business.
