Came here for a few drinks before a meal - it was pretty quiet. Place looks amazing and has a great vibe but the service was below average. Staff seemed to be gathered at the back gass-bagging & paid little attention to us. I would say almost a slight attitude when serving us which was a bit odd considering we were only there for a few drinks. £7.50 for cocktails - not too bad but all bar one sell the same drinks for £6.50!! Poor for what you would expect in Waterloo. I wouldn’t come back here.

I’m sorry to give one star review given the staffs’ services were not bad at all but I have to since everything else was horrible. The place is awfully noisy inside due to train passing above (or super close by) - you can feel not only the noise but also the shake/vibration from trains as well. Also the place smells quite weird. Food was very disappointing, we had a seafood risotto which was terribly bland and you can clearly tell the seafoods were not fresh at all (Squids were particularly bad). Wines were quite disappointing as well.

First time dinning at Azzurro and the experience was okay. The restaurant is quite nice inside and outside. The location is very convenient as it’s next to the station. The service was alright, not the best, not the worst. The starters (prawn cocktail and bruschetta funghi) was really good but the main disappointed us as lot. The pasta with fish was extremely spicy and there were just some pieces of prawns, the rest was blend spicy pasta. The ‘carbonara’ I don’t even want to call it like that because that was definitely not a real Carbonara. They used bacon instead of guanciale, not even

The one thing that these two dishes don't share with (possibly expired) canned or frozen food is the price. 23 pound for two drinks plus these. Sticky table and unfriendly service. AVOID at all cost !

We stopped here for lunch. 4 adults and 2 children, and had a really enjoyable meal. We all had pasta dishes and they were all fresh and tasty. The kids meals were great value for money and tasted lovely as well. The staff were great and the atmosphere was relaxing. We will definitely be coming back here. 6 amazing lunches in London with drinks for just over £60.

Nice little Italian. Came without a booking and asked for a table 45mins in advance and we were accommodated with a smile from the guy up front.
Girls in back were lovely and the chef/owner in back seemed nice.
Food was great, mains especially were great quality and good solid Italian food. Starter garlic bread was a bit of a cop out in my opinion but everything else was great.
Highly recommend and worth more than it’s 4 current rating 👍

This was a good spot to have dinner on our first night in London. Make sure you call ahead and make reservations. We didn't make reservations, but they sat us right away. Waiting staff is polite and attentive. The scene is nice, right under a train passing, which gives it a bit of character. Would recommend.

Didn't really plan to go there but so glad I did. Love the decor and atmosphere. Food came so quick especially for a pre theatre meal. Service was very good and they were all very attentive. The food we ordered was a 4/5. Not exceptional but good nevertheless. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to go back.

We came for lunch on a rainy day at Christmas time and were seated near the Christmas tree, which pleased our child. I ordered the Azzurro salad, which had avocado, beets, nuts, etc., and was lovely. My son had lasagne and was happy with the food and our child loved her pasta with red sauce and meat. The bread basket had a nice variety of warm breads. Service was attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Decent place to eat, good atmosphere, food was good ish. Could improve on quantity of startes as it was really small and mains portions could be a bit bigger. I had caesar salad which was really good but spaghetti venezione was not so good as the prawns were really tiny and i could tast sea weed instead of actual prawn meat.

Came here before deciding to go back to our hotel after a day of touristing. The ambiance is very cute and the restaurant is a lot bigger than I expected. The prices were good and the food was okay. I feel like you get what you pay for here, this is a tourist area so the food isn't high quality Italian cuisine but it was good for the price. Our server was very nice and they serve good pirtions.

Great Italian food, especially considering the other Italian options in the area. The restaurant is under a bridge and has a really cool vibe and decor. The pasta we had was fresh and the sauces were very good. Bruschetta was also very yummy.
I've had better Italian food in the US and Italy, but this food was very good.

Yesterday through work I was in London. Trying to catch the train back to Manchester, I caught up with some friends at Waterloo and went to Azzurro. I ordered Arancini as a starter and Carbonara for the main. The food was great but I have to say the carbonara wasn't authentic as it contains cream rather than just eggs and parmesan. The arancini was cooked just right as the risotto was not stodgy but with golden crispy breadcrumbs. The tomato sauce with parmesan was just right as it gave a well balanced flavour that wasn't overly salty, though I wish the dish had more than 3 balls. It

I went there with my family as part of our trip to London. I have to admit that this place fulfilled my expectations, and I love it!! A Great option for Italian, the portions are the right size and the prices are acceptable . Nice service, and beautiful place. My only concern was the area where it is located, for it seems a little bit strange. Overall a good selection.

Had dinner here after a long day of sightseeing. A family of 4 and had a pleasant experience. Plenty of choices with starters, pasta dishes, and pizzas. Waitstaff walked by with something that smelled so garlicky and delicious, we asked her to bring some to us. It was their garlic bread and it was delicious! We ordered the garlic bread and the calamari. Both dishes were tasty and definitely not lacking in garlic! (Calamari dip was a very garlicky aioli) For dinner, we had pizzas and calzone and it was all wonderful. Dough was thin and perfectly chewy! A very quaint, lovely Italian restaurant

Lovely Italian restaurant, the menu is well balanced with pasta, pizza, risotto and a selection of other mains and sides. As it was a particularly hot day it was a lovely escape from the heat (the Waterloo bridge arches make the inside of the restaurant cool (both in temperature and in terms of decor).

I enjoyed my pizza very much and it was quite filling and so did everyone else with their respective meals.

The only thing that I was not sure about was that the egg on the pizza was boiled and cut in 4, when I thought it would be one of those that they crack open on the pizza and it cooks with

I visited midweek for lunch as a friend and I were looking for somewhere close to the station to grab food and catch up! The exterior of the restaurant looked inviting and the menu sounded delightful so in we went.

There is a bar area with a good amount of comfortable looking seating as you first enter, then you walk to the back and to the left to get the more formal dining area. The restaurant is under railway arches and it's beautiful inside!

We were pleased to spot they offered a lunch deal of £10.50 for any pizza or pasta and a drink (including wine, beer or soft drink). I had the

Nice and smart, food not much to be desired. 16.50 for bland Seabass, creme fresh and cherry tomatoes. Pasta sub standard... With better quality food resource, it has potential, unfortunately not value for money at all.

I'm actually a bit surprised at some of the reviews on this one, although I'm sure the time of day may have made a difference for us. And our waiter was so amazing, that definitely figured into our enjoyment of the place.

We visited late in the evening for dessert & coffee after experiencing the London Eye, and were served by a charming young man originally from Spain. He was absolutely delightful & is definitely an asset to the restaurant. I wish that we'd noted his name, as I would have liked to pass along our thanks to the management.

Their lunch special is pretty good value. approximately 7 pounds for any pasta or pizza + a drink. On their regular menu, the pasta and pizzas are 7 to 10 pounds.

I tried two different pasta - the tagliatelle pollo picante (spicy chicken) and the penne pollo e funghi (chicken and mushroom) in cream sauce. Both were okay (bland like london food), though I definitely preferred the cream sauce over the red sauce. I got a pineapple juice go to with it, which made me very happy as most places don't have pineapple juice (and certainly not free with meal).

Their desserts are actually quite good

This place has plenty of potential although if I'm honest the food has never really blown me away.

The location is perfect, near to Waterloo station on the way to Southbank, and the interior is great as the restaurant is underneath the bridge so lots of exposed brick and archways. The only downfall really is the quality of the food, which isn't terrible but is a little 'meh!' I live in hope that one day I will have a great meal here.
