Our proposal for the South Asia Gallery at Manchester Museum evokes the spatial and atmospheric qualities of a Haveli, a traditional townhouse in the Indian subcontinent built around a courtyard. In collaboration with Manalo & White. We have received planning permission to recreate this 1950's dwelling to become a new home to multiple generations of a family.

Svinder Architects was founded in 2018 by director Svinder Singh Sidhu. Today the practice undertakes projects at any scale and use. We give our time, skills and financial support to organisations that provide support to those in need. We have built this into the ethos of the practice. Khalsa Aid is an international NGO with the aim to provide humanitarian aid in disaster areas and civil conflict zones around the world. The organisation is based upon the Sikh principle of "Recognise the whole human race as one".
We were invited by the governors of Hampton Primary Partnership to create a sports pavilion on the school's play field, Oldfield. The overarching ambition of the project was to make a positive difference to the education of the school's nursery and primary school children through access to well-designed sports facilities.

My wife and I had been looking to extend our home for a while and we finally took the plunge this year and commissioned Svinder as our architect. We did the usual scanning of the internet for reviews of architects in the local area and came across Svinder’s webpage. What intrigued us was that he was currently working on a project to build a new sports pavilion for the children of Hampton Junior and Primary Schools and also that he was lecturing at Kingston university.
