I have used big red removals for 3 big moves now including an overseas relocation. I was separated from my belongings during COVID and the guys made every effort to get them to me from London to the US. Each time I have used them it has been relatively hassle free which is what you want when moving. Both Hugh and James are great guys and offer a great service.

They broke our TVs, we paid for insurance, they refuse to respond to repeated requests to get the insurance claim. It's been 7 months now. Don't use these cowboys
You would think that after providing a negative review they would act? It seems the entire big red removals company is only interested in scamming customers with their fake insurance policies and pocketing the fee themselves. I will now go to both the insurance ombudsman and the removals ombudsman and seek resolution so other customers do not fall into the same scam I have. I will update as this progresses.

Big Red Removals were recommended to me by a colleague who used them for a house move and I went on to use them too. They were excellent from start to finish.
I got three prices including two local independents and a big national (Pickfords). From quote, to dropping off boxes, to the removal day all went well with Big Red Removals and I would not hesitate in using them again.

We have used this service twice. I found Red Big on Google and asked for a quote. This company is not only able to do the job properly, but also to work for the whole day with a smile, a nice word here and there and when you move this is what you need: feeling that your belongings are safe and people around you are not grumpy. Staff incredibly kind and understanding, nothing ruined, all done smoothly, price competitive.

I was charged 40% more than the original quote confirmed over email and phone, due to a traffic. It was never mentioned to me that I would be charged from the moment the truck leaves the storage. The movers were late by over 3 hours, partly because they made a stop for another job before coming to my place and no one cared to keep me informed about their ETA.
After my card was charged a lot more than expected, I sent a number of emails but they were ignored by both Hugh and James. I also received a number of separate invoices with lots of different charges to make the matter even more confusing
