Call
Whichever it is, drop us a line, give us a call or just stop by, and we will help you make it a reality. The drawings that we make are a way of communicating that design to you, the planners, and to your builder. They are a set of instructions used to realise the design, so we don't just 'do drawings' we use those drawings to tell your contractors how to make the spaces that we have imagined on your behalf.

Many people can do drawings, but very few can conceive the spaces, their relationships, their character, their suitability for the way that you want to live, and then prepare the drawn instructions to make those spaces exactly as they were conceived. That requires skill, experience and imagination.

It also takes time. Without those four attributes your project will not reach its potential. We are some of the few who can help you get there. From time to time we intend to send out news sheets for the benefit of our clients, associates, and anyone else who is interested.
Services
We want to help you make the place where you want to live. We believe that good design improves all of our lives and that it doesn't have to be expensive. We work hard for you, and we fight your corner when we need to. Our office is at Whitstable, on the north Kent coast and our work covers most of Kent, sometimes further afield.
Unlike many others who set themselves up as building designers, Architects have to go through an extensive period of training that lasts a minimum of seven years.

This includes a three year undergraduate degree course (occasionally four), at least one year of workplace training, a postgraduate degree (normally a Masters degree), and then, following further practical and academic training, a final professional exam (known as 'part 3' in architectural circles).Only then can someone be registered as an Architect with the Architects Registration Board.
Good architecture should not dictate how you live, but should instead be created to respond to the way that you want to inhabit it. It doesn't matter whether it is a new house, or the extension and alteration to an existing one. There is no 'one size that fits all'. We all have different priorities, tastes and needs to be met by the architecture of our homes.
We offer a design and planning service to developers of smaller projects (up to about 30 dwellings - or more, depending on the levels of repetition). We aim to create attractive places that relate well to their surroundings, and which embody a discernable identity of their own. Clearly this is dependent on the size and location of a site, and in some cases the options are quite limited.
The Architect's fees for design may only be a small part of the costs for your project, quite apart from the actual building work. Depending on the site, scale and type of project there could be other significant costs, some of which may have to be met up front. You may need to undertake additional surveys and preparatory work.
