Daniel Dunlop is Ayr's premier one stop Fireplace, Plumbing and Heating Company. Formed in 1985 we are Ayrshire's longest established fireplace showroom and we provide Gasfitting, Central Heating and Plumbing Services throughout Ayrshire. The family run business caters for all types of domestic fire, heating and fireplace requirements.
Flueless gas fires offer an excellent combination of efficiency and safety. A lot of the heat generated by an open flued gas fire or solid fuel fire disappears straight up your chimney. Compare that to a flueless gas fire which uses all of its energy to heat your home. A flueless gas fire can be fitted much more quickly than one which requires a flue or chimney.
At Daniel Dunlop we understand that choosing a fireplace is an extremely difficult decision. Our experienced staff are on hand to give you the correct information to make that decision just that little bit easier. With years of experience, we are able to assist with the choice of the material, colour and the proportion of your fireplace.
It depends on your stove. You can choose between a wood only, a multi-fuel, or a pellet stove (which burns small pieces of compressed sawdust pellets). Most people use logs, but they should be dried under cover for a year to reduce the moisture content. Your supplier will be able to provide pre-seasoned logs for use.
In addition to our standard collection of Marble, Limestone and Wooden Fireplaces we can also provide support and guidance for the design, construction and installation of bespoke fireplaces to suit the individual needs and vision of our customers. Whatever the material from our range of Limestone and Marble we can construct a fireplace to suit your exacting requirements.

Just had an electric fire fitted by this Company. Have had excellent service from start to finish. Made to feel very welcome on our visits to the showroom, and received very worthwhile advice. Accurate time frame provided from order through to installation, which seems rare these days. Installation completed by Daniel and David. Had a wee glitch with the new fire, which was no fault of the Company, but this was quickly rectified. It was a pleasure (and entertaining)to have these people in our home. Have no hesitation in recommending.

Unfortunately when we went in today it appears that we were going to have to do everything. We would have to check the size of our lintel to see what size of fire we could have. We would have to place our harth and noone would come out to have a look unless we had already purchased the fireplace or paid a fee for someone to come out. I got the impression from the moment we walked in she didn't want the custom strangely. I was even told "I am not going to supply that information, I only supply the fires". I am afraid to say I would receive more information by going onto Google myself, I had seen

We visited the show room and were treated with a friendly lady who was very professional and most helpful and went out of her way to show us what we were looking for and her guidance was so much appreciated We had two lovely men arrive three weeks later to instal our fire They were so helpful cheerful and made us instantly relax when the job was finished they had hoovered and you would not have known anyone had been in the house Thank you Danny and david for all your help and instructions and entertainment We would recommended this firm a lovely experience for us A&B Brooks

Excellent Service. We were given brochures in the showroom to take away and once we'd decided what we wanted, Mr Dunlop visited to ensure all would be ok/what work was needed. When the fireplace and surround was installed by him and his colleague, they were both extremely friendly and chatty and clearly knew their job - efficiently and expertly done, with a minimum of fuss or mess. They also cleaned up after themselves and explained everything as they went along.
