Our wood workshop is at Threemilestone just outside Truro, Cornwall and we have recently been updating the woodworking machinery with a new spindle moulder and sanding equipment. The talented Out of Wood craftsmen have many years of experience between them and the emphasis is on team work to ensure that each project arrives at a successful conclusion.
The kitchens and bedrooms produced at the wood workshop may be in natural oak, ash, walnut or maple. Where a paint finish is required we would usually use either oak or tulipwood with the paint colours from the Fired Earth range providing the final touch. Each project is individually designed with clients wishes in mind so that the furniture will compliment the lifestyle and surroundings for which it is produced.

Out of Wood creates handmade kitchens that are practical as well as beautiful. A thorough understanding of the clients requirements and lifestyle is sought at the outset of each project. The finished result must blend with the architecture of the home and by being able to handmake bespoke items Out of Wood is able to achieve this.
Our main appliance brand, Neff, offers an extensive range of innovative kitchen appliances, available to browse at our showroom in Truro. A wide choice of ovens are available in single, double and compact with such features as Home Connect, Slide & Hide door and Pyrolytic Self Cleaning. Create your perfect combination by choosing a built in microwave or warming drawer.
With the Fired Earth - Truro showroom under the same ownership as Out of Wood, customers will not be lacking in a choice of floor and wall tiles for the new kitchen. Travertine, slate, limestone and porcelain tiles are all available in both classic traditional or contemporary style. We have ranges to suit all budgets with sawn, chiselled and tumbled edges.
Worktops in granite, Corian, Silestone, Caesarstone, solid timber and laminate are all available. The various merits of each material will be discussed during the design process. We can provide sinks from all leading manufacturers such as Franke, Blanco and Brass and Traditional. The type of worktop selected may have a bearing on the suitability of a particular sink.
The process for the designing furniture for bedrooms follows that of a kitchen with a floor plan and elevations being produced after discussion with the client. Good bedroom design will make the best use of all space available, often in awkward spaces or in rooms with angled ceilings. The elevations are helpful in deciding which wardrobes should have hanging space or which should have drawers, shelves, etc.

So So So pleased with my bespoke wardrobe. Clive and his team worked under the stresses of post COVID19 easing of lockdown but still managed against all the odds have this wardrobe built and fitted within 1 week of me moving into my new home, incredible. So much so I have booked a few more pieces for the team to do. Fantastic

We are so delighted with our beautiful kitchen which is just perfect. Lots of clever design ideas to make it look good and work for us. Clive also designed and installed some lovely bedroom furniture & fitted wardrobes as well as office furniture for us. Clive had such good ideas and helped us to get just what we wanted; we are really pleased with everything. All of the team were excellent and very helpful. Highly recommended!
