JEM Carpets was started by John Marshall in 1989. Over 25 years on and we're proud that we're still a family run company doing what we know best - providing high-quality floor coverings and great service at an affordable price. Our head office is still in Larkhall, just a short drive from Glasgow, but now we have eight showroom locations across the Glasgow area.

As well as these dedicated carpet and wooden flooring showrooms, in 2002 we launched the Jem Carpets Bed Centre in Larkhall. In 2014 we made another big change, becoming the biggest carpet company in Scotland to let customers buy carpets straight from our website. Measuring Guide Report

You will need a tape measure, pen or pencil, paper and calculator to hand. When measuring a room, simply measure from the furthest skirting board at the longest and widest points of the room. Take care to measure into any bay windows and door frames, as carpet should end under a door. Always add 5cm (2?) minimum to both the length and width of the carpet measurements.

Beware if they advise you Drummond will fit laminate stay clear as they did not fit ours correctly and it is now moving.

Staff not answering phones. Appreciate doors are locked due to covid and is no entry. However to not answer the phone when you can see staff walking around inside store.

Looking for artificial grass. Great selection and excellent prices. Grass is on par with other far more expensive suppliers and in some cases even better. Staff are helpful and efficient.

Unlike the other flooring stores along this road everyone in JEM was friendly and asked how we were getting on without being overbearing yet not totally ignoring us. I arranged a free measurement and everything was smooth with the purchase and laying of the floor. Great service.
