We were established over 25 years ago. From the very first day it has been our mission to offer unique, handcrafted furniture primarily in oak but in a range of other woods too. Fabulous - beautiful furniture, unusual pieces, one off bargains.
We pass this shop every week when travelling to Holmfirth providing childcare for grandson's, but usually before /after they open. We made an effort to be there for opening time last week, and were extremely impressed.
We purchased a shelving unit and were even more impressed when we were told delivery to Hull was free of charge!

Same furniture can be found online at a fraction of the price, just google any piece on their website. Owners are rude & have a serious superiority complex. Also make sure to check your furniture in detail when it arrives as when they get broken in transit they just glue them back together to cut costs. & if you want to tip your drivers, do so in cash as if you do it over the phone they will never receive it. They don’t treat their employees with any respect. They bully people. Not a small business I’d want to support. Just money grabbers.

Absolutely amazing family business, a great range of quality products of excellent standard. The salesman was not pushy at all and left us to browse around the wide choice available. The delivery was quick only 4 weeks to wait for our fantastic new dining table & chairs. The delivery men were very helpful & polite too! Would highly recommend house of oak!
