Nigel Byrom the Family Furnisher, Kendal, is a family run, furniture retailer offering high-quality upholstery, bedroom and dining room furniture, beds and flooring covering. All our carpets come with free fitting. Paying particular attention to your needs for a relaxed atmosphere and individual style.
They took the first shop on Highgate no 68. They went on to have 4 sons: David, Ronnie, Roy and John. David and Ronnie went to serve King and country in the forces during the Second World War between 1939 and 1945. After the war David and Ronnie travelled back to Kendal and joined the family business.
Our experienced fitting team started in 1959 on an American system called 'Smooth Edge for a Smooth Fit' in the UK it was taken up as gripper rods; moving away from tack and turn and ring and pin. Ronnie Byrom and Tony Hyland were the first to use the system in Kendal and the surrounding areas. Tony Hyland is still giving advice and experience to the family firm and the 4th generation of Byrom's fitting team.
I thought it was only polite to write to you to thank your carpet fitters, Chris and Aaron for the very professional way you completed the work. You were helpful when I was choosing the carpets right the way through to completing the work. The carpets look fantastic. I was very impressed with the speed your men worked, they were always very polite, and on completion left the house clean with no carpet fur on the carpet.

Recently purchased a mattress last minute from Nigel who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. It is evident to me that the quality of customer service, superb quality of products across all their portfolio is exceptional and at very reasonable prices. Definitely the best go to furnisher in Cumbria for my money. Superb in every way.

This "family" business are a gisgusting set of bully's, I am an armed forces veteran and after leaving the Army and becoming homeless, I was homeless with a wife and child for 8 months. We reached out to a military charity who agreed to pay for the carpets. I put a £500 pound deposit after being quoted and promised they would definatly cost no more than £1000. But this disgusting con artist firm then made a new "quote" for the charity which came to £1800, one morning his useless son came with a colleague who was equally bad at his job saying they had the all clear from charity and they had payed
