I searched globally for a Chesterfield furniture maker. Living in Australia meant that I started with Australian furniture makers, then expanded my search to UK and USA. There are also useful articles online that highlighted features to choose (and pitfalls to avoid).
From my research, I put together a wish list, including:
a) a real timber frame (not MDF or other composite wood);
b) individual tacks (not blocks of 5 tacks joined together); and
c) the type of leather (especially, not small patches sewn together).
I decided to select full aniline leather. I want a particular shade of green

Wonderful service from ordering (user friendly website), right through to actual delivery. We now have the bright red modern Chesterfield we were always after with matching chair. The delivery guys were really great too and professional - definitely recommend!

I have a custom sofa from timeless chesterfields. It's absolutely brilliant - I love it since the very first day I got it. The sales lady did a wonderful job and from the order itself till the delivery to switzerland was everything perfect. I just can highly recommend this company and the amazing sofas from them. In my opinion you couldn't get a better quality leather sofa for that price! Thanks again!

This is a much belated review, but I was minded to post it because I would be remiss not to share my positive experience with Timeless Chesterfields after their remarkably friendly, responsive, and speedy customer service. In October 2016 I purchased a sofa and two chairs from this British company, and I had some trepidation about making such a major purchase (in size and cost) through a website from a company that was overseas.
