BHP HARWOOD Architects was formed in 1993 by the merger of Harwood Group Practice and BHP Architects. Established in 1971 and 1955 respectively, these practices were associated for four years prior to merger. Our office locations in Wantage and Corsham allow us to cover work over a large area of the country.
We pride ourselves on adopting a unique and special approach to each commission awarded to us. We have great experience in designing schemes in sensitive locations, often requiring our particular skills in dealing with Listed Buildings or buildings within a Conservation Area. Our commercial experience and design skills have been utilised in the development of sites with a variety of locations and uses.
Imaginative and efficient designs can achieve commercial advantage for our clients and give them maximum return on their investments. We have been involved with several major town centre schemes, encompassing a mixture of retail, commercial, and residential uses. The practice has won Civic Trust Awards for housing in conservation areas, work to historic buildings and new-build developments.
