The extremely versatile W20 range from West Leigh has been in production for decades and has a proven record of durability with excellent design potential. These windows are very popular with planners and architects. Whatever your construction needs, the West Leigh W20 range is ideal. Glazing is up to 16mm and can comply with the Part L (England & Wales) building requirements.
The West Leigh W40 range of hot rolled steel windows was designed in the 1990s as a successor to the well-established W20 section. W40 double-glazed windows retain slim sightlines but can accommodate sealed glass units up to 26mm. A 16mm airspace is also available which offers improved insulation. The W40 system meets all Building Regulations for weather tightness (air infiltration, water penetration and wind loading).
With narrow sightlines and a U-value as low as 1.4 W/m2K, the W50 TB steel window is based on highly engineered, thermally broken steel sections designed to closely replicate the character of the traditional W20 steel window. The design of the thermally broken profile means that W50 TB steel windows are manufactured differently from traditional solid, hot-rolled steel section windows.
Steel framed glazed windows can be designed and installed to protect life and property in the event of fire. Combining the transparency of glass with fire safety is a challenge that demands high standards of construction, which is then independently tested and assessed by recognised competent authorities.
