I have undertaken a double storey side extension in Cambridge (hardwick) and although spaces made me aware prior to appointment they are not particularly the best Agent for the project due to their base in RM11 i wanted to use them as i had been recommended prior to my move here. Planning was smooth and thankfully first time plus builders had a queries during national lock-down and zoom calls were never an issue. thanks for your efforts.

My husband had got planning done for 3 different jobs,
unprofessional and have taken money in full to find out later that they do not even bother to help out on a second refusal and asked for another payment.
I would never recommend them to anyone.
We even emailed and apparently they had lost there emails so instead of chasing the client we had to constantly chase and then further to chasing they asked for another payment just to appeal from the first refusal.
Absolutely disgusting.

Michael at space was in charge of our planning and building control dealings at Havering council. Planning appeal won which was fab. Builders contacted Spaces a few times and michael popped down to assist. on site promptly. Thanks to kelly too in reception for chasing the council planning department at Havering regularly.

We had other companies and decided to use this company as they were local and would know whether plans would be successful or not. We paid them fully. They submitted our plans and did not call planners to see preliminary if plans need adjustment or not and went away on holidays. I called up planners few weeks later. They told me the plans were rejected because plans were too big and needed few alterations. I was told by planners that local architects would have known the plans would not be successful. The planner told me if only architect had called they would have advised him that plans needed

Mark obtained planning permission in a conservation area within a short timescale
I found him polite and professional at all times even when I asked him to tweek his plans as the project evolved
He liased with the planning officer with whom he seemed to have a good rapport and kept me informed of all discussions .
I would have no hesitation in recommending this company !

We chose Spaces Architecture having met with three other firms, Spaces were by far the most approachable, helpful and fairly priced. Mark was extremely friendly and experienced, he gave us lots of design ideas but also took into consideration all the aspects of our project that were most important to us and he really got a feel for our design.

Exceptional service. I contacted Mark at short notice due to a dispute with my former architect/structural engineer in relation to incorrect drawings and calculations. Mark was on site within 24 hours of my first call and he came up with a fast track plan to resolve all outstanding issues which resulted in minimal delays to the project. His vast experience in architectural designs for residents in the Emerson Park area was clearly noticeable and I would highly recommend his services to residents in the area. Building regulations technical drawings were approved by an independent inspector within 15 days rather than waiting for months with our council.
My builder hadn’t worked with Michael before so we weren’t sure how it would go on site but the few queries my builder had Were answered by a site visit and email. Builder had no complaints. Project completed and house on the market within time frame we wanted.
Onto the next project !!!!
