It's 1946 and the Second World War has just come to an end. But for two young RAF men, a new mission is about to take off. Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse both started work at Binns - the region's top department store at the time - before they set about creating a furniture store aimed at delivering a little pizzazz to a weary post-war Britain and opened their first store in Stockton on Tees.

Really great range of quality furniture and accessories within a large facility just off the main drag in Battersea. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good coffee too !

We have shopped here in the past and have spent many thousands of pounds. We went in to furnish a new apartment so were ready to buy everything in one hit. It didn't start well when the stroppy lady manager had a go at my Son for picking up a piece of paper from a drawer of a desk that was on display in the bedroom department. He thought it had information about the desk but she said it was a confidential customer order and that he should not be looking at it, so I asked why it was sitting in an unlocked drawer of a display desk then? We almost left, but stuck with it, but then when I asked her

Bought a few dining chairs here and the items came completely different from what we saw in the store, we are not picky persons but the difference can be told by a 3 year old kid...nice smooth light brown leather chairs as displayed in the store arrived as some dark brown/red fake leather cheap chairs (I can get a better one from IKEA for under 50 quid)....we felt like being tricked.... What makes this worse is that we were told the delivery we paid for will be a door to door no contact delivery (which is standard), but our items were basically left on the public street, the delivery man was very

Whatever you do please, please do not order anything from this Company. We ordered out furniture in April and are still waiting it may or may not be here by November thats well over 6 months. No correspondence from them at all. Customer service is horrendous in fact non existent. They have nearly all of the furniture except a small stool but want to charge me £59 extra for it to be delivered before the stool turns up in late October. Absolutely terrible service. Avoid like the plague!!!
