We offer a wide range of Bed and mattresses, quality carpets, rugs and vinyl, also living/dining room and bedroom furniture to suit all budgets. Our prices are very competitive.

We also now sell home and giftware for the the home. We are stockists of Vale Bridgecraft, Sherborne, Alstons, Harrison Spinks Beds Annaghmore and many other makes of quality furniture. Not all items on the site are available to view in the shop, please call or e mail if your looking to view an item, we can then tell you if we have it in stock.

Items in the site are available to order. Established in 1953 in the market town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, We provide a very high level of service to all our customers. We are a family run business with over 60 years of experience and expertise in the furniture and carpet industry. We offer a free delivery, set up and demo's with our friendly in-house team within a 30 mile radius.

Very experienced and knowledgeable owner. This place has been selling beds for four generations and you can tell from how expert they are. They offered to get in a particular mattress to put on display for us to try it - great customer focused service!

We went to Fred Brown's because we wanted to stay local and it was the best decision we could have made. Service excellent staff friendly and very knowledgeable. Extremely good quality and good value for money. We purchased carpet for living room stairs landing and a bedroom and three piece suite Can't recommend them enough.

Received new carpets and sofas from Fred Brown's. Fantastic customer service from start to finish so helpful and kind.
Martin and Kevin even managed to get the sofas through a very tight porch!!!
