Artistic Blinds was founded in 1979 as a father and son partnership, between John and Chris Reason. John came from a shopfitting background initially, and started work for Deans Blinds of Putney in London in 1954 as a sales representative. After progressing to Sales Director of Deans (Putney), he moved to Managing Director of Deans (Wessex) of Wellington in 1967, followed by Deans (Greens) of Bristol in 1975 and then Deans (W.
Artistic Blinds were very useful in troubleshooting our problem, namely we had moved into a house where the blinds in a large bay window were already fitted. When part of the system needed renewal you were the only company we approached capable of solving the problem. You sourced the replacement parts from an Italian supplier & saved us replacing the whole set of blinds which would have been prohibitive in cost.
Daughter and Managing Director since 2004 - Michelle is a mother of two and holds the reins of the Company, along with the support of her tremendous team. Grandfather and original founder of the Company - working in this industry all over the UK since the 1950s - John is an encyclopedia of knowledge!
Our standard Dutch Blinds, either fixed or retractable, are manufactured from a purpose-designed rigid aluminium. Our Carousel Canopies are constructed using the same anodised aluminium extrusion that we use.
