Services
The following list of services covers the majority of the work we produce on a daily basis. We are specialists in all of the areas listed having spent many years working in the industry. We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise that we draw upon to deliver your project on time and above expectation.
From the outset the practice was set up to work for the client, and to work in sympathy with the landscape and the local architecture. We are fortunate in Perthshire to work in some of the most spectacular landscapes in Britain, with a traditional architecture that enhances rather than competes with the landscape.
A new build house on an elevated site with wonderful views, particularly to the North West. A steading conversion and partial new-build creating a development of 10 unique houses in Leuchars. A development of 2 houses retaining the better features of an existing steading and an extension to existing farmhouse.
After looking for a site in Perthshire to build our own house for a couple of years, Helen found this elevated site 1 mile from Bankfoot, with long ranging views in all directions. The site was sold with Planning Permission to demolish the existing ruinous steading and the less ruinous cottage. We chose to keep and develop the cottage along with our new build house, a future timber garage building would complete a courtyard facing south.
Our brief on this project was to extend to the rear of a house on an unpretentious street, to provide a new kitchen/diningroom with 2 bedrooms over. A simple design, larch clad and with an aluminium standing seam roof was achieved for the very tight budget of 52,000. Modern and bright the extension is a great asset to the house and does not feel in any way compromised by having been designed to a budget.
