My daughter Zo and I previously ran Robertson's the furniture shop in Barrack Street, Dundee. We put everything we learnt from running a family owned business that started in 1880 into our new venture. We know that to sell comfortable recliners, swivel chairs and fireside chairs we need good products, excellent choice, first class service and free advice, and most importantly everything must be backed up with a competitive price.
We don't have commission based sales assistants which means that every sale is handled personally by us - from initial enquiry to final delivery. Our core business is selling recliner, swivel and fireside chairs, either with matching sofas or with covers and styles to match the existing furniture.
We have an increasing number of riser/recliners also known as lift and tilt recliners that we sell to healthy people who are a wee bit stiff and find that an electrically powered chair can help them to find the perfect positon for relaxation and if required, raise the seat height to help them to get up, and of course these chairs are an absolute godsend for those who have serious mobility problems.
