Bowland Stone's parent company, Concrete Fabrications Ltd started manufacturing concrete products in 1960 with Paul Elston joining the company in 1983 and being made a director in the late eighties. The Bowland Stone brand was born in the early 1990's when three independent concrete manufacturers saw the need to create a paving range that could have a national identity.

Shocking service. Placed an order at the start of last year and the order was promised a lot sooner than actually delivered from your Macclesfield branch.
Constantly having to chase for updates with more false promises being given followed by excuse after excuse.
Please avoid and buy elsewhere as Bowland Stone will keep you hanging forever when they know they do not have supply.

Terrible terrible terrible. Do not use. I cannot emphasise enough how poor the slabs have been. We had to get a replacement crate and they were even worse, cracked and split and those that weren’t were… manufactured so poorly they were full of pinholes, some large, and some small.
About time some pride was taken and a more than “this is acceptable” attitude worked it’s way back into this company. There are no excuses for pathetic and shoddy quality work.
If I had a contractor come and lay the patio I would have sent them back. Do not use.

Had trouble acquiring building materials from the bigger, larger DIY stores (treated disgustingly), stupidly forgot Bowland Stone, who's staff were so helpful, didn't see a problem with anything, order taken with delivery much, MUCH sooner, then increased order to which they agreed to put with original, thoroughly recommended
