With a traditional Quantity Surveying foundation, the Practice has evolved to provide a wide range of professional services in the construction industry. Originally based in Bridgwater, Somerset, Gates Consultants have expanded and now have three offices which serve the whole of the South and West of England.

Serviced from our three offices we cover the whole of the South and West of England.

Cost planning and management are key processes in ensuring that costs are controlled during the design development stage. Architects have the creative vision and flair to produce exciting designs, but they also require the expertise of a Quantity Surveyor to inform them of the costs associated with achieving those ambitions.
Due to the shift in procurement practises in the UK Construction Industry since the late 1990's, a considerable amount of Gates Consultants appoinments are now undertaken in the role of Employer's Agent. An Employer's Agent role is usually associated with Design and Build Contracts, although the role of Client, or Employer's Representative under other forms of building contracts can be considered broadly similar.
