The Cave
The Cave Co-operative is an architectural practice specialising in sustainable architecture. We are passionate about caring for our environment and most of all, for using natural building materials in our projects. Cave brings out the full potential of your project, due to it's wealth of experience and innovative design solutions.

Because we care about you and our planet we do this while minimising your environmental impact. Cave Enjoys a close relationship with our clients and offers a high level of service. We understand the importance of good communication and the sharing of ideas. As a result Cave achieves original, high quality proposals that are delivered on time and within budget.

At Cave we believe passionately about the importance of sustainability, not just in the buildings that we design, but in the way we work with our clients, in our community and with society as a whole. Since last year's blog on Adrian Leaman's roundwood timber framing course, I have had the pleasure to be involved with the live project of fellow roundwooder Ellen Scrimgeour.

Architecturally it seems that in the past it was common knowledge where to build and how to orientate buildings in the landscape and seamlessly blend both of them together. Feng Shui is a way to harmonise a building so that it works with you, nature and the energy of the universe.
The Cave Co-operative is a sustainable architectural practice founded by Liz Crisp and Vera Hale in 2008. At The Cave Co-operative we work within a social business model. Cave focuses on sustainable construction techniques and design solutions that bring out the full potential of a project. Because we care about you and our planet we do this while minimising environmental impact.
At The Cave Co-operative we believe passionately about the importance of sustainability. Not just in the eco friendly buildings that we design, but in the way we work with our clients, in our community and with society as a whole. Cave understands how essential it is for a building project to be economically sustainable.
Cave has worked on numerous sustainable architectural projects locally in Surrey, Greater London and London. With many projects in the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Barnes, Surbiton, Merton, Wandsworth, Fulham and Haringey, as well as projects slightly further afield in Oxford, Sussex, Kent and Yorkshire.
New build detached property in Kingston, Surrey. Designed to Code for Sustainable Homes level 4. This large family home creates multiple living spaces which open up onto the garden and generous bedroom accommodation to adapt over the lifetime of the family. This stunning Georgian property required a full refurbishment and extension to change it from flats back into a single dwelling.
