Wisam taught a Diploma studio at Kingston University before reading for an MBA at Imperial College to better enable the practice to understand the requirements of commercial clients. We are also on the RIBA's Chartered Practice Task Group to deliver the Chartered Practice Scheme in 2007. The Scheme aims to offer clients the "gold standard" of service to expect from an architectural Practice.
From idea sketching to ensuring your build runs smoothly, our focus is to ensure your dream space becomes a reality. We offer a range of services to suit all types of projects from one day design workshops to full architectural planning. With extensive experience from new-build to listed buildings, residential or commercial projects, we can prepare and monitor your planning application.
The first thing a good architect will do is listen! We then recommend the most suitable service level for your brief and your budget. We are professionally trained, skilled and inspired to help you achieve your ambitions for your project. Our Full Architectural Service, per the RIBA workstages, takes you from concept design options to full construction drawings.
When I say artist I mean the man who is building things - creating molding the earth - whether it be the plains of the west - or the iron ore of Penn. It's all a big game of construction - some with a brush - some with a shovel - some choose a pen. The on-site contract administration of the building work is one of our strengths.

Architecture:WK – what an amazing find! No obstacle too big, no attention to detail too small. Everything you could hope for, unrealistically so. Sometimes even the most benign scheme can fall foul of exacting (pedantic!) planning departments and we learnt that lesson the hard way. With ‘permission refused’ and in near despair our dream home was not to be realised, we engaged with Sam and her team. Through smart, aesthetically considered design (and quite frankly refuting some of the nonsense levelled at our original plan!) we have been able to negotiate the planning process to a positive outcome – permission is GRANTED! This stage is not to be taken lightly – you go nowhere without permission. Sam & team

We have loved every step of the design process with Sam and her team at Architecture:WK. The Design in a Day workshop was the perfect way for us to figure out what we wanted our renovation project to include, and we couldn't be happier with the design that came out of it. We really enjoyed the process of working with Sam and the team. We found the home workshop visits really helped us work out what we wanted and Sam was amazing at talking us through the process and understanding our requirements. The Sketch Up plans that were created after that were amazing and really brought everything to life and felt super exciting. So would wholeheartedly recommend Architecture:WK, and if we were mad enough to do another project like this again then I'd be knocking on their door once more.

I'm incredibly grateful to Sam and her colleagues at Architecture:WK for getting me the planning permission I've been desperately after. From the beginning, Sam has been clear and open with her ideas and opinions, and really listened to what our needs were. She designed a wonderful additional floor to our home that works incredibly well with the existing structure and layout, meaning it is minimal disruption to the existing interior. Furthermore, we were always aware that it was a difficult permission to gain. Sam highlighted at the start that it was very likely that Richmond council wouldn't approve

Sam and her team were a joy to work with. They did a fantastic design in a day workshop with us, exploring different options for our first floor and loft conversion project. The planning submission was tricky due to our house being in a conservation area, however Sam kept the process moving the whole time and didn't give up! Our 'Design in a Day' experience was fantastic. Their ideas went way further than anything we could have imagined, but never felt outside our comfort zone. They seemed to really get what we wanted to do. The final presentation helped us decide what we did and did not want to move forward with. We decided to continue with A:WK all the way through to finished construction drawings and now feel confident and well-armed moving into the actual build.
