In this short article I'm going to provide some tips on how to negotiate and things to consider when negotiating your property purchase. I'll keep the article brief as I've also created the attached video to help explain apologies about. During a 'high demand' market where prices are growing quickly, along with other situations, you'll sometimes come across Estate Agents asking for 'sealed bids'.

I asked Castle Surveyors Ltd to conduct a Homebuyers Survey Report on a home I was purchasing in the Southampton area. The level of detail provided in the report was very good and uncovered a number of issues I was not expecting. Wayne, the surveyor, was also very helpful over the phone explaining his findings.

I had a Level 2 Homebuyers Survey conducted by Wayne, the owner of the business. Prior to the inspection we discussed in depth the most suitable survey for the property type and condition, with any specific areas of interest to be investigated, which saved considerable cost. Following the results of the survey which highlighted notable concerns, Wayne provided excellent explanations to queries to me as the layman which put my mind at rest during an otherwise stressful process.

Friendly, personal service. Honest and upfront regarding fees and what to expect. I have been extremely impressed with the service and the speed at and professionalism in which it was carried out, including a full report emailed within 24 hours of the inspection. In addition to this, I was able to phone and ask plenty of questions about points raised in my report and got clear and well explained answers. Totally impressed and will definitely recommend.

Completed a quotation through Really Moving and contacted this company off the back of that. Didn’t hear anything. An email that was sent to a different company was copied to Castle Surveyors Ltd in their response to me; the different company was unable to assist and, therefore, copied Castle Surveyors Ltd in to see if they could.
Received a (clearly generic, perhaps slightly tweaked) email from Wayne at Castle Surveyors Ltd with lots of blurb selling himself and the company, and also providing a quote. This was higher than that obtained through Really Moving.

Used this company for a house purchase survey after researching local surveyors. Not only were they the best value but they carried out the survey within days (due to a cancellation this was even quicker than expected) and had the report to us within 48 hours of completion. It was thorough and highlighted a number of areas that required further attention. Having then spoken to the surveyor on the phone he was able, at my request, to supply the names of suitable local businesses who I could approach to carry out further checks for us. We were very impressed with the service throughout.
