Our original company was founded in Harpenden in 1978. We have over the years, retained offices in Harpenden, Redbourne, St Albans and Tingrith where we currently operate from. Our management team have all been with the company for 30 years and where specialists are engaged these people who have been known to the company in excess of 10 years.

Here at Maltings Structures we provide a full chartered surveying survey as well as building survey, RICS Reports throughout Herts, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire into North London. Our team of dedicated surveyors have the expertise and years of experience to provide accurate and in depth reports.

This is the most thorough type of inspection and report and is particularly suited to older property and those that are in need of repair or have problems. The detailed inspection report will provide comprehensive guidance on shortcomings and disrepair including on-going maintenance issues. If requested it will also include our opinion on market value and re-instatement cost for insurance purposes which will be at an additional cost.

The Condition Report, is our most basic report and is designed to bring to your attention the matters which the Surveyor considers to be most important. By applying condition ratings to the various elements of the building reported on, the Surveyor will inform you whether the defects are serious or urgent.

Valuations are required for a range of matters which are detailed below. It is important for purchasers to be aware that a valuation does not include a survey and is only intended to ensure that the property represents adequate security for the loan or items as detailed below. An unconditional offer of mortgage does not necessarily mean the property is free from defects that may be costly to rectify.
