I'm a proud member of the professional body for interior designers - the BIID. As a sole practitioner I feel extremely well supported in my business by this government recognised Institute.
There is a huge amount of education and awareness as well as legal help and a network of excellent interior designers.
As members we sign up to a Code Of Conduct. I especially like being a member for the assurance this gives my clients that I will carry out my work professionally.
