Abacus Carpets is a well-established, family-run business with over 40 years' experience supplying and fitting carpet and flooring in Richmond, Kew, Chiswick, Barnes and throughout South West London. Our showroom in Kew has a carefully curated collection of premium brands from around the world, comprising an extensive range of designs, materials and colours.
Available in a wide range of textures, colours and patterns, carpet adds character to a living space, making it feel warm and cosy, creating a bold statement with rich colours in a striking design or providing a neutral, understated backdrop in a muted shade. Whether you have a contemporary or traditional interior, your carpet will bring together your interior.
A runner can be created from any type of broadloom carpet - the edges can be whipped with threads of the same colour or a contrast; or taped with cotton, hessian, jute, leather or suede as wide or narrow as you prefer. Roger Oates has an extensive range of flatweave runners designed specifically for stairs and hallways.
Rugs can be used to add colour, texture and warmth to a room which has a neutral coloured floorcovering. Whether you want to create a bold statement, add character or provide texture in a neutral colour-scheme a rug is the perfect partner for a wide range of interiors, both contemporary and traditional.

Excellent advice and service. Fitting is absolutely first class - a really high quality job. Additionally - I really, really appreciate their integrity. I was away when the carpet was fitted. They choose to keep my existing underlay as it was in really good condition and they refunded me the saving!! Really impressive.

I have used Abacus Carpets for many years. Most recently they supplied new carpet for my hall/stairs/landing. They were very helpful in lifting the old carpet and then fitting the new at times which worked in with the rest of the decorations. The estimator and office staff are always helpful in providing advice and suggestions.

I am very pleased that we went to the Abacus Carpet Company for new carpets in 3 bedrooms and 2 flights of stairs. Having visited their showroom and made our carpet selection, everything that followed progressed very smoothly. They accommodated all our wishes to meet our somewhat complex timetable for the laying of carpets, as we had planned for each bedroom to be redecorated first. The carpet layers did an excellent job and were very willing to move furniture when necessary. Should we need carpets again, Abacus will be top of the list.

Can’t fault the great service from beginning to end. Dan was so helpful with providing various options and samples. The fitters were careful and polite and the aftercare service was excellent.
