Winfields Chartered Surveyors specialise in building surveys and valuations. We are an independent multi-practice, with offices based in Bristol, Exeter & Plymouth. Our full range of surveying services include but are not limited to; Residential & Commercial Valuations, Building Surveys, Expert Witness, and Raw Building Surveying.

Established in 1998, and with the combined knowledge of over 130 years, we have successfully been serving clients for 22 years. For our clients, we perform building surveys of all levels and value all types of property. This is something we are proud to do as chartered surveyors and valuers. This includes clients from both the private and commercial sectors, throughout the South West.

Whether you need a survey for your mortgage or you are a cash buyer, there are some certainties worth having when buying a building. No one wants a porperty they have bought to come with any nasty surprises. This is something you cannot rely on a mortgage report to give you, unlike a RICS Buidling survey.
This is our most popular type of survey and tells you all things you need to consider when buying or selling. Here at Winfields Surveyors and Valuers we can offer you three levels of building surveys. This ranges from a Condition Report at level 1 to a Building Survey, also known as a full structural survey at level 3.
Choose this popular report if you need more extensive information whilst buying or selling a conventional house, flat or bungalow, built from common building materials and in reasonable condition. Information on location, local environment and the recorded energy efficiency (where available).
As part of your redemption process with Target HCA you will need a RICS Help to Buy Valuation carried out by a RICS registered valuation surveyor. Target require the Help to Buy valuation to establish the market value of your property, whether you have sold or are just redeeming the loan. The criteria for the valuation is quite strict and Target will reject incorrect/incomplete valuation reports.
A Shared Equity valuation, otherwise known as a Shared Ownership valuation, needs to be carried out by an RICS Registered valuer. This is to provide a market value for the sale or purchase of the percentage share you have in your property. All Shared Ownership schemes are likely to be managed and owned by a Housing Association.

Wow. Tom must have at least 6 weeks of work piled up due to Covid 19 (maybe more) and be under a lot of pressure at the moment but I called him with a request for a valuation and he said will provide it as soon as possible for me. Tom did my original HTB valuation too. Extremely impressed with his service. Thanks so much Tom.
