Services
Are you buying a property in Central London? Then you should seriously consider having the property surveyed. We are one of the leading firms of building surveyors for residential property in London, offering a rapid turnaround with efficient and competitive service. What is a survey? The object of a survey is to tell you about the condition of the property.
A party wall divides the buildings of two owners and the boundary between the ownerships is, generally, somewhere in the thickness of the wall. The Party Wall etc, Act 1996 gives the owner of a building certain rights to carry out works to a party wall. However, the building owner must serve a notice on his next-door neighbour informing him of his intention.
In this market, to get the most out of your investment, it is desirable to achieve a timely turnaround, to put your property back on the market, to facilitate an efficient letting, and to obtain a good rental income. By preparing a fair and reasonable schedule of dilapidations, this can be achieved.
Nicky, thank you very much, and to Aneeka and Sarah, for all being so efficient in not only organising the survey but also for producing it so promptly. Thank you very much. Mike, thanks for this excellent building survey. I heard a lot of high regards for your work, from my builder, Estate Agent, my Solicitor etc.
Are you buying a property in Central London? Are you paying too much? A property valuation report will tell you. We can also provide you with a valuation for mortgage purposes. If a property valuation is carried out at the same time as a building survey, there are considerable cost savings. We can provide a rapid turnaround on property valuations in London with an efficient and competitive service.

Nicky Major of Scott Davidson was hired as a party wall surveyor in a party wall matter. When the matter concluded, her invoice stated that she had undertaken 22 hours of work. A typical party wall surveyor would take approximately 8-10 hours for a similar mandate. In coming to 22 hours, she invoiced us for 4 hours of general administration work prior to reviewing any documentation or visiting the site. This included 2 hours charged for filling in the recipient's name and address on 3 pro forma appointment letters. She has been reported to RICS for these billing discrepancies as well as for several
