I agonised over wood vs pvc and ended up choosing the latter simply because I couldn't see myself regularly treating wood. I have to say that I love the look of the evolution storm, but the metal handles aren't thermally broken so are a source of significant heat loss, which rather undermines the point of double glazing imho. The other thing I'd say is check prices between suppliers if you can - some local suppliers give themselves a huge profit margin - the evolution storms shouldn't be crazily more expensive than standard windows - but they are with some companies:-(

We’ve had Evolution windows fitted at a job in Cookham, they are very “gappy” and client in happy with the drafts coming through. Evolution sent a surveyor out who had said initially “its a fitting issue” when showing the unfitted windows agreed “its a manufacturing issue” they are sending service engineers out to fix the problems which are on all the windows!
Except the windows which have the same issues which are not fitted, which we want our money back!
They look good but I wouldn’t buy them again!!

Unimpressed. Recently installed in our house via Elwyns. Our windows came with Georgian bars. They look nice, however they are affixed to the glass via double sided tape. Albeit very special tape. Many of the bars were not affixed to the glass at the time of manufacture and were simply "pushed" into place. They came loose when windows were opened and closed and it was only then that we realised the issue. We then had to go around and give every Georgian bar a wiggle to see if it was affixed or not. Elwyns were accommodating with this and other issues and sent someone to fix. Spoke to Evolution
