We at Trainspotters Lighting have been doing this since the early 2000s, a dark age when the lighting market was largely bland and generic, the industrial lighting aesthetic being just a twinkle in a few forward-thinking designer's eyes. Trainspotters founders Jesse Carrington and Tony Brook first met eyes across a crowded bar in a pre-gentrified Shoreditch.
Working for architectural salvage pioneers Lassco they spent their days scouring the underbelly of London for interesting reclamation, filling a crumbling warehouse off the back of Old Street with everything from piles of humble Victorian door handles to reconstructed Georgian panelled rooms.
Alongside the booming architectural reclamation side of the business they started to take an interest in the runs of industrial lighting they would occasionally come across.Back then it could be bought cheap. But then again nobody really wanted it.

Services
The Trainspotters industrial pendant lighting range is a comprehensive mix of classic lighting designs and antique salvaged pieces. It's no exaggeration to say that pendant lighting can make or break a space. Good pendant lighting is one of those things to get right. Too often we see interiors that have a lot of time effort and money poured into them only to be let down by inappropriate or cheap looking pendant lighting.
A comprehensive collection of flush mount and bracketed industrial wall lights both vintage and re-made. IP rating available for some models. Wall lighting has traditionally been notoriously difficult to shop for. Before the industrial and vintage lighting boom of the 21st Century there was little choice beyond some uninspiring modern fittings or perhaps some pretty drab Victorian or Edwardian repro versions.
Factory-found or designed by the Trainspotters team, browse the industrial lighting collection to add dynamic functional lighting to your space. The thousands of industrial pendant light fittings that we reclaimed from Fort Dunlop and the Rover car plant in Birmingham were what really kick-started the business back in 2005.
Retrospective lighting, lovingly restored, Trainspotters offer large runs of vintage lighting for any project size. Vintage lighting runs through us like Blackpool through a stick of rock. Since the early 2000's we've played a leading role in developing the vintage industrial lighting aesthetic. It's hard now to remember the time when we were pretty much the only ones doing this, but we were.
A stylish and practical collection of kitchen industrial lighting designs for the heart of the home, perfect for cooking, tasks or atmospheric dining. The kitchen is the heart of home, a place where we gravitate to eat together, socialise and entertain. With many people spending more time in the kitchen than any other room in the house it's the space to really pull the stops out on the lighting front.
