We collaborate with private, commercial and public clients across a broad spectrum of sectors providing design solutions for projects of all scales. Directors Sean Daly, Ryan Martin and Derek Williams formed the practice in 2013 having previously worked for notable practices including Richard Rogers, John Pardey and Western Design.
The practice is made up of 3 experienced Directors/Architects, a recently qualified Architect, a Technical Director, 2 Architectural Designers and an Architectural Technician. We pride ourselves on maximising the potential for each site and strive to make each commission personal and unique.
We have a rigorous approach to the design process which means we fully test ideas and seek to balance creative thinking with the practicalities of construction and cost.Clients are at the heart of what we do and we hope to translate their ideas into a vision which will provide a lasting legacy.

I approached DMW Architects to provide some initial advice on a loft conversion and wider works to our home. I found Sean and his planning consultant James extremely friendly and professional not to mention helpful in promptly setting up an online call (during lockdown) to explore further our requirements and how they could help, and then following-up with emails to explain further our options. Likeable from the off, my wife and I felt Sean was fully interested and engaged in our project; listened to what we wanted; and then displayed the flair that can be seen from the gallery of images of projects

We worked with Sean from DMW on planning and design for our family house and externals. From day 1 we clicked, and he made the process really enjoyable. He brought a vision that we couldn’t have imagined ourselves, and then we continued to work collaboratively with him and the fabulous builders he recommended (Howarth) to make the absolute most of the space, and to make it work perfectly for us as a family. Our company has been working with mostly Sean & Mark for just over 18 months and we have been very impressed with what they have created for us so far. They are very creative with their ideas, professional, but above all, provide great value. They don't just provide drawings & designs. They will advise you on planning, building regulations, even recommending the right builder for your project. I have also used them for my own property and would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family.

Sean and Ryan designed The Ark and The Kitchen in Poole Park and also our own home. Their vision has made them what they are today and we are very happy with the result. We find everyone at DMWA very approachable and they make what could be a dull process rather fun. Sean always says to us 'Form follows function' and that's exactly what he did for us! I was recommended DMWA for a residential design project in Dorset. It was important to find local architects that I could trust to manage the build as I lived 200m away. Throughout the project, DMWA lived up to my expectations. All communication was timely and effective. The design brief that built onto an old cob cottage was not without problems. A pragmatic, commonsense approach with dashes of initiative and creativity solved them all without drama.
