Your Barnes Kitchen is then built from scratch by our team of highly skilled cabinetmakers.
We encourage you to visit our Devon workshop where you can see for yourself that each element of every Barnes kitchen is hand built - nothing is bought in or contracted out. Our Kitchen designers and cabinetmakers take pride pursuing the practices and methods historically used for building household and kitchen furniture.
Bringing you the best of both worlds, our bespoke classic kitchens combine both timeless elegance and modern practicality. From Georgian town houses to Victorian Manor Houses, thatched cottages to coastal retreats, we have built and installed many bespoke classic kitchens in Devon, Cornwall and the Home Counties through to London and further afield.

Having moved a number of times we have used several kitchen companies and Barnes are head and shoulders above others offering a similar product. From start to finish their service is as good as it gets. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for but with Barnes you get that and just a little bit more. The showroom and design team are… knowledgable and professional. They listen, they advise and they are completely unphased by a customer who keeps tweaking the design. Sorry! There are very few companies still manufacturing bespoke kitchens in the UK and I was determined to buy

A truly bespoke service – Barnes of Ashburton have completely understood our requirements and helped us every step of the way. With an old listed property with no straight walls and lots of structural changes needed, nothing has been too much trouble for the team. We now have a beautifully handcrafted but also very practical family kitchen

We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen, it is simply stunning and a kitchen that we would never of been able to design ourselves – we needed your help with design, layout, colours etc.
It is by far the best room in the house – if we were to move we would have to take it with us! Everyone at Barnes has been so lovely, its been a real pleasure from start to finish, thank you.
