History Report

The family business started way back in 1952 with the first shop "John S Montgomerie", which was on Ruthven Street, just off Byres Road in Glasgow. At this point carpets were mainly made 27 wide and seamed together to make a carpet surround, it was not wall to wall but instead surrounded by a linoleum perimeter.

We are a Mobile Flooring Service based in Lenzie, therefore we are able to pass on discounts due to our low overheads. We bring all flooring samples to you and have over 1800 samples including all new trends in carpets. This enables you to choose your flooring in the natural light of your own home, whilst matching it up with other fabrics and furniture in the rooms.
