My great grandfather was also called George Robinson, and I have his name tag on the tool box I use today. He was a master carpenter and made many of his own tools; they are as good now as they were a hundred years ago. Perhaps this has given me my concern for the environment, which is an integral part of my working philosophy.

Here at GRK we are often asked to recycle, or add vintage elements to our kitchen designs and on this basis, we often come across beautiful vintage finds. We are committed, as a Company, to minimising damage to the environment, and we believe that our clients have a similar commitment. The concept of tradition is not new, at George Robinson Kitchens. Tradition informs the methods used to manufacture aesthetically beautiful kitchens and furniture, giving them durability and sustainability at a time when everything that we use, and reuse, become increasingly important. GRK furniture, which is sometimes traditional in style, sometimes contemporary, creates 'new traditions' in design.

From design to installation George and his team made the whole process so much easier than I ever imagined. Nothing was too much trouble for them and George had a solution for any problem. Choosing, buying and fitting a kitchen can be stressful but George Robinson's good humour and positive attitude made the whole process enjoyable. A rare combination of craftsperson (he truly is a wizard with wood) and communicator, George took the time to find out exactly what we wanted. We only had a relatively small space to play with but he made the most of every inch and managed to fit in everything we required and more besides. Two years after it was fitted, our beautiful kitchen lifts our spirits every day.

I am so happy with my George Robinson Kitchen which was transported from the GRK workshop in Cornwall all the way to my home in Portugal!
It is without a doubt the best kitchen I have ever had the pleasure of owning and several features of the design including my huge larder cupboard are features that I now could not imagine living without!
