Since we were established in 1979 we have been serving the local community supplying a huge range of building products and providing an excellent customer service. The Kington branch has grown into a 2.5 acre site over the years and in 1985 we opened a branch in Rhayader. We have eight delivery vehicles covering Kington, Leominster, Hereford and Bromyard in the east and as far as Aberystwyth in the west.

KBS was established in 1979 as a small family business supplying the building trade in Kington and the immediate area. It wasn't long before word of our great customer service spread and the business started to grow. Soon we were supplying customers further and further afield. With demand in the Mid-Wales area becoming more and more apparent we opened our second branch in Rhayader during the summer of 1985.
Not only do we supply everything you could possibly need to build the house of your dreams we also offer the perfect kitchens to compliment it. Any building project simply wouldn't get off the ground without the right materials. With our large yard you simply won't believe the range we have in stock and ready for delivery. Obviously it's important for any builders merchant to keep a wide selection of bricks & KBS doesn't disappoint with a selection in our yard and even more available to order.

I've lived round here for 18 years and had opportunity to compare prices widely on my travels with other suppliers even in places where competition seems much fiercer, and KBS have consistently 'come up with the goods' in all senses. Helpful staff team, a great range, and fast service for both trade and DIY.

I'm not a professional builder, just a local householder who undertakes practical jobs around the house. Yet the staff have never been patronising to this amateur but always really friendly, helpful and willing to give advice. There is a good range of materials, too, at reasonable prices. Our builder (for the jobs that are beyond my skills!) always uses them and has never found them out of stock.
