Witt Tree Services are a long standing family business established in 1979. We strive to carry out our work to a very high standard and aim to recycle most if not all of our waste productsand are registered with the Environment Agency for this purpose. We carry out works to all Trees & Hedges from trimming the smallest hedge to removing the largest of Trees including Stump Grinding and removal, Crown Lifting, Cable Bracing, Domestic Fencing and much more. Our works are carried out to modern arboricultural standards and the care of trees is our main priority.
We consider our tree surgeons to be among the best in the world. We also do our utmost to help and develop the new careers of students coming through the levels. The past two student champions have worked for us and we continue to support them. All works are carried out with quality but most of all safely and efficiently.

Services
Trees are a passion within the Witt family, Trevor also competed in ISA tree climbing competitions in the UK and was one of the first to compete in the masters challenge back in the 90's. Trevor knew that his son Stuart was keen to start in the family business and took him under his wing, sending him to Sparsholt college to study tree care and gain his Chainsaw and related certificates (NPTC).
Witt Tree Services provides a complete tree care service. We are based in Salisbury Wiltshire and have the capacity to carry out our work up to 100miles from our depot. Operations include the removal of dead wood, crown thinning and cleaning. Reductions and shaping can be carried out on suitable specimens, or where safety is the priority.
Crown lifting involves the removal of the lower branches to a given height above ground level. It should be achieved either by the removal of whole branches, or by the removal of only those parts which extend below the desired clear height. During the day we watched the work being carried out in a highly professional manner.
Stump Grinding: Removing stumps with the latest machines that are operated by fully trained staff. In cases when the removal of stumps and roots is not practical, cutting the stumps so that their tops will be at least 300mm below the final ground level of the site should be carried out so that the site can be levelled and grassed over.
