Services
The Mortgage Valuation-Surveyor will only be at the property for a very short period of time, if at all. Some Mortgage Valuations are done at a desktop, online, or simply by driving past the property. Even if the Mortgage Valuation-Surveyor does attend the property, he/she will carry out a very brief inspection, mainly to asses the quality of the fittings and general presentation.
It is often difficult to decide which survey to choose. We are keen that you have the survey you want and more importantly, the survey you require. The Home Buyer Survey Level 2 Report is suitable for most traditionally built (brick and tile) properties that have not been significantly extended or altered, are found to be in a reasonable condition and are built after 1900.
We are Multi Award Winning Building Surveyors, who provide detailed Level 3 Home Building Survey Reports. A Building Survey (RICS Level 3) is suitable for all residential properties in almost any condition. The Building Survey Level 3 Home Report provides a full picture of the property's construction and condition.

I would highly recommend this company. Their costs are reasonable and they kept me in the loop at all times in a very professional manner.
My surveyor was John Hayward and when I needed clarification of some aspects of the report he spent almost two hours on the phone with me explaining every detail. This was on a Friday evening when I am sure it was his "downtime ". He couldn't have been kinder to me.
I did not buy the house and am still looking but would have no hesitation in using Gold Crest when I find what I am looking for.

Quick and efficient service, easy to book a survey and had good availability. They made a mistake with carrying out the survey on a day that I had cancelled it but we're happy to put the report on hold and give me a full refund if I didn't want it. They were even happy to give me some preliminary information to aid resolving an issue with the property and they didn't charge for it. Very happy with them

Absolutely incredible. We messaged on a Sunday and got a response on the Monday (bearing in mind it was a bank holiday). They were professional, efficient and helpful throughout. The report was big and valuable with so breakdowns aswell. We're first time buyers and new to all this but they were so helpful at all times. 100% recommend this company!

Missed obvious rising damp
Requested a level 3 survey as part of purchasing a house in the surrey area. Everything seemed fine to begin with, communicative and in contact. They liased with the estate agent, surveyor went in, produced the report to time scale.
Very clearly, the report made details how there were no damp issues, with no further investigations or repairs needed.
Very clearly, it became obvious that they didn't look in every corner nor measure them with a damp probe - had they done so there would be no chance they could missed the peeling paint and a damp meter going off across
