Reasonable quote for some carpet fitting so we thought to go with select carpet but the service in terms of the fitting of the carpet was truly appalling. We had a quote for fitting of the carpet on stairs and landing but only on the day did the fitter announce we needed to pay £20 more for stripping of the existing carpet - should this have not been included in original quote?
It was a windy day and the workmen did go out of the house to smoke but left the front door open and made the house smell of cigarette smoke afterwards but worst still lots of leaves from the street blew inside the house

With Carpet Right acquiring all the competition there doesn't seem to be much choice in where to shop for carpets these days and the choice is rather limited. Select Carpets does stock some alternatives that I havdnt seen anywhere else and offer free fitting on all carpets. In fact they have over 3,000 samples to choose from. They stock mid to high end carpets and mostly sell eighty percent wool twists from a range of manufacturers. They are a very nice family firm to do business with and have been supplying carpets for over 20 years. They close at 3.30pm on a Saturday and don't open
