ZNX surveys the Natural and Built environment, providing information for those buying or altering property. We also support developers ensuring a proposed development is built in accordance with the approved plans. We provide building condition reports and detailed drawings of existing structures. We give advice and report on disputed boundaries and provide a service as Party Wall Surveyors.
ZNX has always been a family business and since 1972 has been providing surveying services to both private and public clients in the UK and overseas. We are proud of our reputation as a reliable source of accurate information. Although technology has seen the gathering and presentation of information move to be more mechanical we at ZNX still value the art of 'hands on' attention in the field and in the office.

Services
Zenex surveyors was introduced as a surveying consultancy in 1972 offering services to those requiring land and as-built building surveys and site engineering support. Since that first step into the unknown world of consultancy and independence our principal Brian Taylor has developed a business that has seen our surveyors working throughout the United Kingdom, North, West and Central Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
Our major achievements include providing survey data on Europe's largest housing scheme in the 1970s, a project covering parts of the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Ealing and property owned by the Greater London Authority 112 acres in all. Controlling the direction of an oil pipeline under the Thames.
Today many of these duties have become specialised, leaving the land surveyor to concentrate on that which requires precision measurement. Measuring the worlds surface and sub-surface and all that is on it or in it, both natural and man-made; determining the contours or level of the land and locating boundaries, measuring and monitoring structures, and controlling the location of new ones is all part of the remit of a land surveyor.
When assessing the condition of a building, either when a problem is known to exist or to give a report on the condition prior to building alterations for instance, there are three main requirements of a building surveyor. 1 A thorough knowledge of the behaviour of the building components. 2 A knowledge of the building construction methods used when the building was erected, or altered.
