JB Kind has always been a timber specialist, following its inception in 1870. Establishing its door division in 1983, JB Kind is now widely considered the leading specialist in wooden doors. The company is led by a four-strong Board of Directors, headed up by Managing Director James Cadman. Nick holds a BSc in Business & Economics, an MSc in Business Finance and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
JB Kind is a company that has staying power. A century and a half of staying power, in fact. Founded by John Blower Kind in 1870, our company has held true to its original values of timber excellence ever since. Initially a joiner, John Blower Kind built up a successful Timber Merchant and box manufacturing business and stayed at the helm of the company right up until his sudden death in 1905.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BOTH OF THESE COMPANIES
Over a month now sent over 16emails and had 7 calls and also 3 call backs and still no joy.
I have now gone to trading standards whonwas superb and have now taken it on for me
Also been onto ombudsman today. So now getting somewhere.

JB Kind have provided me with all the doors I needed for a development project. The doors arrived on time and they represent excellent value for money as well as looking good. This is the second time I have used their products and I would have no hesitation in dealing with J B Kind again in the future.

Purchased eleven oak doors through tippers jb kind doors two of which had glass in them. The doors delivered to me sept time joiner came dec to fit them. One big mistake didn’t unwrap and also knew they stopped making doors. The doors looked lovely I must admit but very rough in parts of the panels. The big problem was the glass absolutely disgusting they told me it was moisture where I have stored them . They had been stored in my living room. I heard all excuses moisture my joiner and policy’s tippers didn’t even no they had. Would never use again absolute rubbish......

We bought 2 JB Kind doors 3 years ago which we were very pleased with, so although there were cheaper doors out there, we spent £400 thinking we were getting the quality and because of this we didn't unwrap the doors to check them before they were fitted.
One wasn't too bad but the other the veneer around the glass is badly fitted and the grain in sections is black in colour. This wouldn't be a problem if I was painting the door, but then I wouldn't have got an oak veneer.
Doorsuperstore couldn't be more helpful but KB Kinds response was far from apologetic.

JB Kind cannot manufacture doors with windows within them.
I purchased I had purchased a total of 7 doors from a distributor and they were installed and fitted. All of the Ivory Laminated range, and two which were glazed. Of both of the glazed ones, the trim around the glass has started to come away, one really badly. I've actually had to take them off completely and remove the glass from both because I fear they'll just fall out.
The quality of the glue holding the glass/trim in is poor and it's so disappointing.
The disti offered me a goodwill gesture of £25 per door or they can replace the

We had a horrible experience with JB Kind and ALSO door Superstore.
Two of the doors my partner ordered were of a completely different colour compared to the others. We made the mistake of not checking the doors immediately and, when we realized, we contacted J B Kind and also Door Superstore. Both companies were far from helpful and unbelievably slow. As a result, after a month spent making calls and sending emails to these guys, we are still waiting for our doors to be delivered and, needless to say, the delivery date has been completely disregarded.
