Over the past 30 years we have built a solid reputation in our field, manufacturing timber staircases for many national house builders and commercial clients. In this time we've tailored our products, processes and service to work alongside the fast paced demands of a commercial site.
With a strong team of over 100 people working at our 80,000 sq ft factory, we have the capacity to meet the high volume demands with ease. We use the latest in CNC technology to ensure precision engineering and speed go hand in hand when manufacturing our staircases. We are currently delivering in excess of 600 staircases per week to developments throughout the UK.

GD Woodworking was founded by Glyn Ducker in 1988. He worked tirelessly to build the business to strong team of over 70 today. From our traditional joinery roots, we have always been quick to embrace new technology in woodworking machinery so that we can offer our clients the most accurate and efficient staircase solutions.
At GD Woodworking we use the latest in CNC technology to ensure precision engineering and speed. We constantly invest in the latest product innovation and manufacturing technology, Our design team use the latest Auto CAD programmes to ensure the utmost accuracy from the outset, and our production and assembly operations are based around the latest CNC technology.

I have to leave this job for personal reasons that are too important to ignore but the company and its staff are absolutely gifted and attentive. I hqve heard people giving this place a negative vibe but not from my experience. From management (Mark ducker in particular) to general staff I have found them to be amazing, competent and above all else first class people.
Go into this company with the right frame of mind and you will end up with another family not just a job. It has honestly been a pleasure..10 out of 10 for me

IT NEVER EVEN CAME! Ordered at 2am, said would be here at 3.05am, I rang the restaurant at 3.20am and he said it’s on it’s way. Rang again half an hour later to cancel the order because we were fed up of waiting, he went silent and hung up on me. WORST experience when ordering a takeaway, don’t waste your time or money

We have just competed the annual PAT maintenance for this company for the second year. This in its self shows a commitment for best practice and employee welfare. We found everyone to be very professional and conscientious in their approach to all they were doing. Even down to their approach to recycling which we found out by throwing something in the wrong bin! But again when told of our mistake, done so with the utmost respect. Behind the scenes these guys are a cracking company to do business with.
