It's all change at Charles Wilson Carpets - we're moving home! Good news! Our new store will be in Shefford - only six miles away from our current location in Hermitage Road. We'll be just down the road from Hitchin, with easy, free parking! We hope to welcome you to our Shefford showroom from 09.30am on 02-01-2021.
Unusually for most flooring and carpet shops, at Charles Wilson Carpets we have our own, fully trained team. We offer an in-house measuring, estimating and fitting service for your flooring. Our estimators each have over 25 years of experience. You can rely on our expert assistance from initial advice about the best flooring for you through to final fitting.
Spillages are bound to happen at some time, especially on kitchen flooring. Often it's easier to do more harm than good in trying to lift any marks. Modern carpets are more likely to remain stain free, but no flooring is totally stain proof. Whether you have carpets, wooden flooring, laminate or vinyl flooring such as Karndean, the best flooring advice we offer is: dab with a plain clean cloth and tepid water.
We have a wide range of quality carpets and carpet tiles; suiting any budget and for any room. From sitting room rugs to bedroom carpets, we'll have the right carpet for you. People often ask about the differences between man-made carpets and natural wool carpets. Cannot praise these guys enough. From start to finish it was a pleasant / friendly and very easy experience. The chap who came and fitted the carpet was polite and friendly and very fast and efficient at his job and to top it off they were £130 cheaper than the bigger stores for the same carpet and better quality underlay. I would and will recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Excellent Service
We have used Charles Wilson for many years. They are extremely professional and all their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have fitted carpets and hard flooring for us. The shop has an amazing selection of great products and they also have a van so you can view samples in your home.

We had carpet fitted in the whole of the dowstairs, stair case and landing.
Charles Wilson Carpets were really helpful and patient while I looked through all the various shades of green to find the one that matched what was in my head :) They also explained the difference between different types of carpet so that I could choose what would best suit our needs.
Fitters were friendly, cheerful and tidy. They even vacumed before they left.
