JRB was established by James Burke, an experienced Chartered Surveyor and Valuer. James has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the residential survey, valuation and energy assessment fields. After completing his RICS accredited Honours Degree in 1995 he embarked on his professional surveying career with Savills International Property Consultants.
From then on James worked at a senior level in both the Public and Private sectors working with and advising both private and commercial clients on various aspects of survey and valuation work. During his professional career James has also advised on and been quoted in the national media (Sunday Times Property Section) on residential property matters.
James and his co director Andrew Bennett lead a dedicated team of Chartered Surveyors and Chartered Building Engineers and support staff who strive to continually provide a high level of advice to property purchasers. Our Surveyors are Chartered through the RICS with the qualification MRICS or FRICS and have the knowledge, skills and understanding to undertake valuations on residential and commercial property competently. We have worked within the region for many years and have witnessed both boom and bust economic times.

Having used JRB on a number of occasions now we have found Andrew and James to be extremely professional, quick and efficient. They always act in their clients best interests and offer good customer service. Their reports are clear and they are always happy to talk through any concerns and offer further advice. If you require a valuation report to redeem a help to buy loan I wouldnt use any other company and I wouldn't listen to any other reviews. The company especially James Burke clearly is an expert and the company as a whole has dealt with my case with expertise and knowledge. I would recommend JRB Chartered Surveyors!

My husband and I were worried about buying an investment property so we employed James Burke who was a fantastic help to us in making our decision on what defects we needed to fix. His survey was very thorough and detailed everything we wanted to know. He was on hand to discuss the survey afterwards and was very professional. We would highly recommend JRB surveyors when you are thinking of buying.

No need to make an appointment; James Burke just values your home based on the lowest Zoopla sale price.
Arrived un-announced trying to aggressively make his way though my 18 year old daughter who was home alone.
On a then scheduled 9am appointment, he arrived at 08:05am.
He then down valued my home based purely on the unorthodox property value of a neighbouring property sold to a builder; not in any professionals opinion a comparable.
