Katie Malik brings years of diverse interior design experience to the home improvement industry in her Cambridge based studio. After graduating from Cambridge University as a linguist specialist, she began her new training in Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art in London and the National Design Academy.

Katie worked with us on a complete ground-floor redesign creating a wonderful, light, usable space for our family. Her professionalism was evident throughout, always following-up and delivering when she said she would. The visualisations produced were photo-real helping us to understnd the impact of the major changes before committing to them.

I cannot recommend Katie enough, she has transformed two rooms in my house. We now have a beautiful, inviting sitting room that is a real pleasure to be in and a bedroom that my sixteen year old loves. Katie talked to my daughter about her vision for the room and translated it. It looks incredible.

Katie and her team did a great job pulling together a plan for my small two-bedroom flat in north London. The layout had some awkward components and I had quite a bit that I was looking to accomplish, so the complexity was high :) Her and the team pulled together a great design of new furniture and decor in the end, having taken on feedback throughout on what worked with my style and what I was looking for! In addition, the pandemic naturally caused some complexities with vendors, timelines, and some of the product, but Katie and her team managed the last minute changes efficiently and professionally

I have known Katie for a long time and have always found her sense of style inspiring. Recently, we had the chance to work with her on our living room/ dining room/ conservatory and bathroom design when we were moving into a new house. The space had some challenges in terms of light and space, and we wanted to make sure we were making use of the potential of the area effectively. We purchased a fabulous 3 story sea side property which had amazing potential but which was in desperate need of a total stripping out, redesign and refurbishment. We knew that we didn’t have the skills or experience to get the best result, so we made the sensible decision to get a designer in. After looking online for someone whose work seemed to reflect what we were looking for we discovered Katie. We are so glad that we did!

Ms Malik is very knowledgeable and has a very positive and helpful attitude towards designing and decorating. She met all deadlines as predicted and was always to reply in detail to any queries.

We asked Katie to help us design a living room in our new extension. We were really stuck with a blank canvas and not knowing where to start. She came up with lots of great ideas and was really helpful it sourcing the required items and helped to find people for soft furnishings and carpentry. She was great at working to our budget and incorporating our ideas and feedback. She has followed up several times to make sure things are going well. I would have no reservations in recommending Katie, she was highly professional and excellent value for money. We are so pleased with the result.

Isn't it easy to put furniture into a room to make it functional? We had a living room with a sofa and armchairs but no style or even welcoming atmosphere.
