Peter served in the Royal Air Force for 24 years as an engineer and fighter pilot. Since leaving the RAF he has worked with BAE Systems, Ferranti Computer Systems, Plessey and the ITT Corporation. In 1993 he established and ran ITT Defence Ltd which is now a multi-million pound operation. Peter has extensive experience in the national and international aerospace and defence arena.
Oxley Developments Company Ltd was founded by the late Robert Frederick (Freddy) Oxley in 1942. Freddy started in business in 1940 producing capacitors for the military. Following the Blitz, the Ministry of Aircraft Production instructed Freddy to relocate to safer premises. He moved to the Lake District in 1942 and established Oxley in Market Place, Ulverston.

Oxley planned for the end of the transition for some time and put detailed plans in place to ensure minimal impact on business operations. Oxley completed a process of identifying potential risks and implemented plans to mitigate these risks. We have followed the advice of the UK Government and of the Aerospace and Defence trade association, ADS, who have a useful online information centre available.
